These Terms of Service govern your use of the Blue Electrical Surplus website and purchases made through it. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
Products and Condition
We sell new, used, open-box, and surplus electrical and electronic products. Product pages describe the known condition of each item. Photographs are part of the description. Surplus and used products may show cosmetic wear consistent with their listed condition.
Prices and Availability
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars and may change without notice. Inventory is subject to prior sale. We may cancel and refund an order when an item is unavailable or when a material pricing, inventory, or listing error is discovered.
Orders and Payment
Submitting an order or beginning payment does not guarantee acceptance. An order is accepted when payment is successfully completed and the order is confirmed. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. A payment marked pending is not complete, and the order will not be fulfilled until the payment provider confirms successful payment. Customers must provide accurate billing, contact, and shipping information.
Offers
Submitting an offer does not create an order, reserve inventory, or charge a payment method. Offers may be accepted, declined, countered, or submitted for review. Accepted offers expire at the time stated in the offer notice and remain subject to product availability until checkout begins.
Shipping
Shipping charges are shown before payment. When carrier-calculated shipping is available, services and charges are based on the delivery address, package information, and rates returned through our shipping provider. Some orders may require a separately stated shipping charge or quote. Shipping timeframes, geographic limits, address responsibilities, and special handling rules are described in our Shipping & Returns policy. Carrier transit times are estimates and are not guaranteed delivery dates.
Returns and Refunds
Returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and are governed by our Shipping & Returns policy. That policy explains the 30-day return period, item-condition requirements, shipping responsibility, exceptions, and refund timing.
Customer Responsibilities
Customers are responsible for determining that a product is suitable and compatible for its intended application. Electrical and industrial equipment should be installed, tested, and used by appropriately qualified persons in accordance with manufacturer instructions, applicable codes, and safety requirements.
Prohibited Use
You may not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit fraudulent orders, or use website content or services in violation of applicable law.
Website Information
We work to keep product information and website content accurate, but typographical, technical, or availability errors may occur. To the extent permitted by law, the website is provided without guarantees that it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Blue Electrical Surplus is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or a product. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Third-Party Services
The website uses third-party services, including Stripe and PayPal for payment processing and Shippo and participating carriers for shipping rates and fulfillment. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices.
Privacy
Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the website or our practices change. Revised terms will be posted here with an updated effective date.
